Our most frequently asked questions
OBD Coverage
If you are 65 years or older and have a valid Ontario Health Card, you will qualify for the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) automatically.
A senior who just turned 65 will have their ODB coverage start at the beginning of next month. You should receive a letter three months prior to your 65th birthday that informs you about your enrollment in the ODB program.
You will have to pay a $100 deductible of total prescription, which starts on August 1st.
After you paid your $100 deductible, the cost of each eligible prescription will be $6.11/month. We’re happy to waive up to $2 co-pay for each eligible prescription.
If you are a low-income senior, we can help guide you through the ODB low-income senior forms to reduce your monthly co-pay and deductibles. For more information please visit: https://www.ontario.ca/page/get-coverage-prescription-drugs#seniors
